Intermediate Photography Course
Hey, I’m Richard.
IT’S NICE TO MEET YOU
Photography has been a constant in my life since I picked up my first camera at eleven years old. What started as a way to capture everyday moments turned into a deep interest in photography as a storytelling practice.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Fine Art Photography, and my work has been recognised internationally. My photobook dummy was shortlisted for the Unseen Photobook Award in Amsterdam (2019), and my first photobook, It Starts With Silence was published by Kehrer Verlag in 2021. In 2020, the Library Project in Dublin published my Paradise Lost series as part of their TLP Editions, in three volumes.
In 2022, I was invited to join the Irish Photo Network, an online platform showcasing Irish photographers, supported by Source Photographic Review, Photo Museum Ireland and Belfast Exposed Gallery.
I’ve chaired and presented at photography events for Belfast Photo Festival, developed the How to Create a Photobook workshop hosted by Belfast Exposed Gallery, and taught photography at South Eastern Regional College, County Down.
